How DEEP Are You Willing To Go? April 15, 2007
Posted by Barry Goss in : Pre-launch Insight, Interview Clips , 4commentsDuring my conversation with Joe Vitale, I brought up the research about a Doctor at the University of California who drew attention to a strange fact about the human mind.
This Doctor has verifiable research evidence that there is no fixed self inside a person. Meaning, contrary to what it seems, there’s really no permanent sense of YOU that is in charge of thoughts, emotions and actions.
A lot of people (possibly you too?) go thru life deciding to respond to things as if there was a fixed identity inside them calling the shots.
The thing is, while it’s hard for me to articulate it completely here, just know that if you’re willing to go DEEP enough into your own development and growth as a person, you’ll eventually have a NEW perspective on what your life is really all about and that YOU - the person you call ____ [your name] - are not totally in charge of the thoughts you have everyday.

Well, Duh… That’s Why They Call it “Resonance” April 12, 2007

Mentor One says, “You have to take massive, focused action in one direction.”
Mentor Two says, “Action is over-rated.”
Mentor Three says, “When you get inspired to do something, even if it doesn’t make sense at the time, take action.”
And Mr. Media says, “‘The Secret’ tells you not to take action.”
What the heck is going on here? Is it the phenomenon Dr. John F DeMartini talks about in his Masters of the Secret interview… that everything is in total balance and harmony in the Universe, hence the seeming opposites to balance each other out?
Well, I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. And suddenly this morning I had a smack-me-in-the-head a-ha moment… it’s like the Universe said, “Well, duh… that’s why they call it resonance.”
Right. Duh!

Attraction - (Ratt) = Action April 10, 2007

That’s not what James Cagney really said. In fact, most people misquote what he really said.
But let’s take a look at this… if you have the word “Attraction” and you take away the first four letters, “Attr”, you’re left with “Action”.
Scramble up those four letters and they spell “Ratt”.
Okay, there’s an extra T. It’s spelled like the 80’s glam rock band, but still… stick with me a minute and I’ll show you why this is a powerful metaphor.
The line that Cagney really said in the 1932 movie “Taxi”, which is often misquoted as “Come out, you dirty rat, or I’ll give it to you through the door!” was actually, “Come out and take it, you dirty, yellow-bellied rat, or I’ll give it to you through the door!”
Dirty yellow-bellied rat. Yellow belly… fear.
What is it that stops us from taking action?

Break Away From the Couch and Explore Life ! April 10, 2007

Every once in awhile, I get into these candid and decidedly unmindful moments - moments that I know, if I thought I needed to perfect the message through an audio edit or two, wouldn’t have as much impact.
Here’s the way I look at: in living life to it’s fullest, you don’t get a “do over” !
So, here you go …. me, semi-raw and unbridled (well, the last half of the audio that is)
